In recent news, it looks like Rockstar’s next project may be a sequel to the well-received game Bully from back in October 2006. There have been long-circulating rumours about a Bully sequel, and many fans have been dying to get their hands on a follow-up to what was a fantastic game. As it stands Rockstar’s next game for release is Red Dead Redemption 2 which has also been long awaited. However, it seems that Rockstar has been working on the Bully sequel while finishing off RDR2.

For those who are unaware of what the game Bully is about it is a game that revolves around the life of Jimmy Hopskins who is a student enrolled at Bullworth Academy due to his parents disappearing off on a cruise and leaving him behind. Jimmy is an outsider to all of the cliques within the school and has to find a way to deal with hostility from certain individuals/groups and develop relationships with those who are willing to work with him and in doing so also helps them develop. Ultimately he simply wants to get through school unscathed and with minimal hassle while causing some chaos.

Might you be thinking ah just another rumour for a sequel? Well, this looks fairly credible as it comes from a source who claims to be from within Rockstar and this is the same individual who leaked the Red Dead Redemption sequel long before Rockstar made an official announcement. The individual goes by the name of Yan2295. The recent leak about the Bully sequel was posted on a forum and stated that Bully 2 was in fact in development and is anticipated to be the game to follow Red Dead Redemption’s release.

The parent company of Rockstar Take-Two Interactive filled for various trademark applications a few years ago. These appear to be specifically related to Bully. It is no secret that Co-Founder of Rockstar, Dan Houser of the original Bully game has toyed with the idea of making a Bully sequel, in a 2013 interview with Polygon he stated that he loved Bully and would like to make another. In addition to this, the music composer for the original Bully game (Shaun Lee) also let slip that he would be doing the soundtrack for Bully 2 and in particular specified ‘in the not so distant future’. That was back in 2009, so it is possible that a Bully sequel has been in development or development limbo for awhile now. It is entirely possible it may have even been scraped multiple times which would explain such an extensive delay between games even by Rockstar standards. Rockstar has a history of taking their time with games which, to be honest, is something I am grateful for. An excellent example of this is the time between Red Dead Redemption and its sequel which is planned for release fall of 2017 as well as the typical gap between Grand Theft Auto games. Regardless I know I would certainly prefer for them to take sufficient time to make a great game, rather than rush something mediocre out for the sake of getting it out to people.

Everything is still theoretical at this stage as Rockstar themselves have yet to make a statement about a Bully sequel, however, given the nature of the source of the leak and their past credibility with leaks we are hopefully the information is correct. Hopefully, within the next year or two, this will all be confirmed or denied for certain.

We would love to hear from you in the comment section below. Did any of you play the original Bully game? Have any fond memories of it? Are you convinced by the rumours and would you be interested in a Bully sequel? Don’t forget to share if you enjoyed reading. Have an awesome day!

Hi everyone, A lot has happened over the last three months, and I think it is about time I need to announce a couple of things I had been holding off on declaring till they were finalised. Because there is so much to go through, I will be splitting this across two or three posts over the next couple days. I understand that some aspects of the news/announcements may seem drastic, but do not be…

In a recent statement by EA, announcements were made regarding the state of Mass Effect Andromeda and its future. EA stated that support for the single-player part of Mass Effect Andromeda has been cancelled with a small team continuing to support multiplayer. Patch 1.10 will be the last patch for the game and the developers behind the game are to be moved on to other projects. Understandably, many gamers are infuriated, including various gaming related…

Hi, everyone! First of all, I wish to apologise for the lack of content this month. Due to my mother being taken critically ill and in hospital on life support, I have had to focus on family, and the result of that has been no content. Things are still a bit touch and go, but I need to return to work regardless. The team and I are working hard to get back on track. To…
Hi, everyone! I and the Charede Gaming elves have been busy at work making improvements to the website and community as well as a host of content. Recently content has slowed up a bit, but that has been due to the long list of changes we have been prioritising which should make things better for all of the community using the website.
A new rumour has surfaced regarding the next Far Cry game. The well-established series by Ubisoft has seen us be taken to Africa, tropical islands, the Himalayas and even a primal version of Earth. However, it looks like the next iteration is taking a whole new turn. According to a leak, Ubisoft is planning for the next Far Cry game to be a western theme. In addition to one source for that leak a further…
In China, a new law is being introduced on the 1st of May 2017 which will force game developers who make games feature boxes to reveal the chances of getting each item so that consumers can make informed purchase decisions. Loot boxes or crates for those who are unaware feature in games such as League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch. Such boxes have gained popularity in recent years with a growing trend toward…

On the 28th April 2017 at Phoenix Airport the FBI and police entered a plane in response to a call claiming that there was a bomb onboard the flight. Although the FBI believed that the call had come from Ice Poseidon, a Twitch streamer/live vlogger it is alleged that the call, in fact, came from someone who watches his Livestream. The act of calling the police and claiming that there is a serious event in…
Activision, Oh Activision! Well, it’s time to state the obvious. Call of Duty is a series that is in dire need of reinvention or face its inevitable retirement to the graveyard of tired old game franchises, probably a landscape stroon with plastic instruments and the corpses of ex-EA developers! So recently the trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare DLC (Shaolin Shuffle) hit the internet, and well people are noticing something very odd. The new…

YouTube has recently updated its partner and monetization requirements. Previously anyone could sign up and monetise their videos via Adsense, however following the changes made only channels with over 10,000 views total on their channel will be able to monetise. Initially, there was some lack of clarity as some members of the public thought this meant 10,000 views per video but we can confirm this isn’t the case; it is strictly 10,000 views on the…

Gearbox Software shocked many with an out of the blue message addressing G2A about their practices and impact on the gaming industry. Having recently announced that Gearbox Software had a promotional partnership deal for a collectors edition of Bulletstorm with G2A this seems like an unlikely turn of events. From what we have been able to ascertain Gearbox Software responded to direct concerns voiced by John ‘TotalBiscuit’ Bain. TotalBiscuit confirmed in a recent video titled…
